I'm a queer individual with a passion for mental health, music, sports, and education. My multidisciplinary background allows me to draw connections and learn from various fields, enriching my approach to therapy. My highest educational qualification is a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from G.D. Goenka University and I am certified as a Advanced Mentalization Based Therapy Practitioner from Anna Freud Centre for Children and Families. I strongly believe that mental health is deeply intertwined with our intersectionality and we can learn to use it to our advantage. Being a queer therapist, I have a deep understanding of the unique struggles and joys within the LGBTQIA+ community. My work often focuses on helping queer individuals and couples navigate identity, relationships, and mental well-being in an affirming and supportive environment. As a Counseling Psychologist and Psychotherapist based in Delhi NCR, I specialize in Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT), while also drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Narrative Therapy. I follow an eclectic approach to therapy wherein I start by addressing urgent issues my clients are facing through short-term models such as Solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational therapy. Once the clients feel empowered enough to handle the distress stemming from their symptomology, I shift to a psychodynamic approach, such as mentalization-based therapy and attachment-based therapy to help them address chronic mental health issues.
